International Alliance of Robotics Associations (IARA) was Formally Unveiled
On Nov. 20, 2020, the International Alliance of Robotics Associations (IARA) was formally unveiled at The 6th West Lake International Robot Forum.
The IARA was co-founded by Zhejiang Robot Industry Association (ZRIA) together with robotics organizations in Finland, the United States, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Israel, Spain and Malaysia. As an independently operated international alliance for exchange and cooperation of globalized robotic industry, the IARA is committed to robotics technology research and industrial commercialization. With innovation, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win as the guideline, IARA is to further build an international robotics exchanges and cooperation platform, and to promote the organic integration and the healthy development of the robotics industry.
“Zhejiang is vigorously promoting the development of the robotics and artificial intelligence industry, and is also vigorously promoting international exchanges in robotics fields.” Prof. ZHANG Libin, Chairman of the IARA, said that the establishment and settlement of IARA will become an important window and cooperation platform for the whole world, further accelerating the development of the global robotics industry and making robots better serve the human society.
The 6th West Lake International Robot Forum is co-organized by ZRIA and the Administrative Committee of Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, with the theme of “Robotics and Serving Human”. There were two main forums, Robotics and Servicing Human Forum and Yangtze River Delta (Hangzhou) Forum of International Robot Innovation and Cooperation, four industry-specific forums, i.e. Industrial Mobile Robots, Robotics and Health Industry, Robotics Vocational and Technical Education and Training, and Robotics and Intelligent Construction, and two international tournaments, i.e. 2020 RoboCom World Robotics Developer Competition and 2020 GRG Industrial AGV Invitational Competition.
