Science and Technology Counselor of Spanish Embassy in China visited the projects of robotics in Zhejiang Province, China

With the organization and support from International Association of Robotics Organizations (IARA), Zhejiang Robot Industry Association (ZRIA), on February 16-17, Mr. Adrian Gutiérrez, the Science and Technology Counselor of Spanish Embassy in China, and Ms. Laura, the science and technology officials, (Laura), successfully visited the cooperation projects in the field of robotics between the Chinese and Spanish governments in Zhejiang Province, China.

During their stay in Hangzhou, Mr. Counselor and his team visited the of Xiaoshan Robot Town Exhibition Center and had meetings with Hangzhou Kuntai Robotics Co., Ltd, the Third Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Rehabilitation Medical Center, the People's Hospital Affiliated to Hangzhou Medical College, and the Rehabilitation Center of Zhejiang Province, discussing about the government funded international scientific and technological cooperations with Spanish enterprises in the fields of medical and health robots.

Prof. ZHANG Libin, President of IARA and former President of Zhejiang University of Technology, Mr. HONG Jiqing, former Director of Department of Science, Education and Culture of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland and former Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, Mr. XU Chi, Executive Director of ZRIA and General Manager of IARAC (IARA Headquarters Operation Company), and Dr. ZHANG Xuequn, Deputy Secretary-General of IARA, accompanied Mr. Gutiérrez and Ms. Laura’s visit in Hangzhou.

In addition, persons-in-charge and experts from Xiaoshan Robot Town, Zhijiang Intelligent Scene Research Center, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Entrepreneurship Management and Service Center for Overseas Student and Scholar (College Students) of Xiaoshan District, Talent Division of the Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security of Taizhou, the Town of Guali of Xiaoshan District, and Hangzhou Qianjiang Electric Co., Ltd also took part in the meetings.

This exchange activity enhances and expands the level and scope of international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between Zhejiang and Spain in the field of robotics industry.
